Robert R. “Bob” Frederick, 83, of Kendallville died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 7:05 a.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

He was a lifetime area resident.

Mr. Frederick worked for the New York Central Railroad, Iron Workers #147 in Fort Wayne, and retired from Reliable Tool & Machine in Kendallville.

He was a member of the Kendallville Elks Lodge and Kendallville American Legion Post 86, Sons of the Legion. He attended the Brimfield United Methodist Church.

Bob enjoyed NASCAR and fishing.

He was born June 13, 1932 in Lisbon to Raymond and Clara Belle (Lock) Frederick. They preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sisters, Lois Friskney of Kendallville and June Holcomb of Florida; four nieces, Cindy (Terry) Leder of Florida, Jackie (Jim) Smith of Montana, Deb Friskney of Kendallville, and Pat (Mark) Marzion of Kendallville; a nephew, Mike (Beth) Friskney of Rome City; several great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Christopher White of the Brimfield United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Friskney, Mark Marzion, Nick Patrick, Nathan Patrick, Travis Marzion, Corey Marzion, and Phil Carroll.

Calling will be Friday, August 21, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Brimfield United Methodist Church.

Aunt Lois and family, I am so sorry that you lost your brother. I always heard good things about him. It is sad to lose your sibling, but so glad you had alot of years to spend time with him. I love you, Auntie, and hope all is well with your family. Alanna
