Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 11 a.m. in The New Life Tabernacle, 609 Patty Lane, Kendallville.

Calling is Monday, September 29, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Georgia Ellen Asbury, 76, of Kendallville died Friday, September 26, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

She had lived in this area for 45 years, coming from West Virginia.

Ms. Asbury retired from Dexter Axel in Albion.

She was born December 11, 1937, in Welch, West Virginia, to Otis and Florence (Collins) Beavers.

Surviving are a daughter, Marie (Giran) Kunkel of Rome City; two sons, Paul Asbury of Albion and Charles J. (Delfina) Asbury of Albion; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Baker of West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Asbury; three sisters, Macie Estep, Elizabeth Steele, and Elsie Bryant; and four brothers, Curtis Beavers, Charlie Cole, Gene Cole, and John “Hobert” Cole.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 11 a.m. in The New Life Tabernacle, 609 Patty Lane, Kendallville with Pastor James Archambeault officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Monday, September 29, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice.
