Pamela G. Jenkins, 60, of Kendallville died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at 11:35 a.m. in her residence.
She was a lifetime area resident. She retired from LDM Technologies in Kendallville.
Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Kendallville American Legion Post 86 Auxiliary, Kendallville American Legion Riders, Kendallville Eagles Lodge 985 Auxiliary, and a life member of Kendallville VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary.
She was born October 20, 1951, in Kendallville to Oved M. and Dorothy L. (McClelland) Powers. On March 22, 1968, in Kendallville she married Richard L. Jenkins. He survives in Kendallville.
Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Amanda Jenkins of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Vicky Hogge of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Kenneth Hogge, Kody Hogge, Mason Jenkins, and Kaylee Jenkins; two sisters, Barbara Powers of Kendallville and Demaris Powers of Kendallville; and a brother, Kenneth Powers of Kendallville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 6 p.m. in the New Life Tabernacle, 609 Patty Lane, Kendallville with Pastor James Archambeault officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in DeKalb County at a later date.
Calling will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the church.
Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Pam when I started working at VFW Post 2749. I am truly sorry for your loss she was a very sweet women and I will miss her. Your family are in my prayers

Richard, So sorry to hear of Pam's passing. Sometimes we just don't understand these things. Someday you will see her again, and maybe know why. David and I have always enjoyed hanging with the two of you at the Eagles. Pam was a wonderful person. If you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to let us know.
