Marie Jean Huber, 95, of Wolcottville died Monday, June 11, 2012, at 7:50 a.m. in Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville.
She had lived in this area since 1949, coming from Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Huber retired after 30 years as a registered nurse at McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville where she worked in the obstetrics department.
She was a member of the South Milford United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society of Christian Services.
Jean loved her church and was an active member. She greatly loved her job and birthing babies. She liked to mow grass and take care of her lawn. After retirement, she enjoyed spending winters in Florida.
She was born June 20, 1916, in Pennsylvania to Earl F. and Fern Luela (Bailey) Randolph. She married Maurice Calvin “Cal” Huber. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1984.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy J. and Michael Smith of St. Joe; a son and his companion, Jon Huber and Faye Borcherding of Wolcottville; seven grandchildren, Trent Huber of Kendallville, Kellie Malone of Kendallville, Jordon Huber of Wolcottville, Jon DePew of Angola, Jim DePew of LaGrange, Les Smith of Kendallville, and Jesse Smith of St. Joe; and eight great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Eilene Huber, and a brother, Joe Randolph.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the South Milford United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Cross.
Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.

Your mother was such a great friend and neighbor to us Richards. Love to share some good memories with you Kathy & Jon. I will always remember her laughing at us when we were just being kids. She sure put up with a lot from us.
