Obituary

Deena Joy Vale, 66, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville.

She was born March 10, 1955, in Terre Haute to Richard F. and Mildred N. (Coffman) Vale, the youngest of seven children.

Miss Vale was a 1974 graduate of Central Noble High School.

She was employed by McDonald’s in Ligonier for 11 years.

Surviving are two sisters, Dixie Jean Ruch of Mishawaka and Dorene (Don) Arnett of Fort Wayne; a brother, Willard (Darlene) Vale of Sebring, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins scattered across the United States.

Her nephew, Pastor Bob (Nancy) Vale of Laporte and niece, Becky Wennerstrom of Osceola have been there for her. Her very dear friends and care givers, Larry and Betty Allen of Kendallville were invaluable to her.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Dargewitz; and two brothers, Richard Vale and William Vale.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at Trinity Church United Methodist, 229 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Steve McPeek officiating.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmel.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Noble County or the Apple Tree Center in Kendallville.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
