James Michael Morr, 81, of Kendallville died Monday, April 12, 2021, at Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville.

He was born September 26, 1939, in Kendallville to George Earl and Hannah Ruth (Sedgwick) Morr.

Mr. Morr retired after 37 years at Kraft Foods in Kendallville. He also owned and operated Mike’s Tax Service in Kendallville.

He was a member of the Kendallville VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Morr of Kendallville and James (Shari) Morr of Avilla; three grandchildren, Devon Morr, Elisha Haver, Krista Hakey; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Steve Morr of Plant City, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Eloise (Showen) Morr on May 12, 2017; two brothers, Dean Morr and Dave Morr; and two sisters, Amber Smith and Shirley Powers.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 12 p.m. at the Kendallville VFW Post 2749, 127 Veterans Way, Kendallville.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 111 Ludwig Road #105, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46825.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
