Karon S. Taylor

Karon S. Taylor, 75, of Avilla and formerly of Rome City died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at her residence.
She was born June 1, 1944, in Anderson to Lester and Catherine (Critser) Burris.
On February 16, 1972, in Anderson she married Johnnie R. Taylor. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2016.
She had lived in the Noble County area since 1978, coming from Anderson.
Mrs. Taylor retired from No-Sag in Kendallville.
Surviving are four daughters, Eugenia “Gina” (Matthew) Myers of Avilla, Katha (Felix) Short of Elkhart, Serrena (Wilts) Short of Wolcottville, and Darinda (Eddie) Combs of Wolcottville; a son, Daniel (Amanda) Taylor of Wolcottville, 22 grandchildren, Bethann Handshoe, Jonni Kay (Keith) Griffith, J. Barrett, Rena Rosales, Kamryn Myers, Steven Garrnet, Zachariah Cook, David Short, Brandon Short, Brenden Cook, Jaleana Short, Tia Short, Johnathan Short, Jeffrey Short, Gracie Short, Kaiden Short, Kyleigh Short, Katrina Taylor, Brianna Combs, Talon Taylor, Gabriel Taylor, and Luna Taylor; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Eleanor) Burris of Florida; three nieces; two nephews; and special friends, Renee Sturdivant of Rome City and her children, Derik, Jessica, and David, Marcie Thomas of New York.
She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Christian Griffith and a niece, Lindra Rinker.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
