Christopher Nicholaus Meyers, 34, of Kendallville died, Monday, September 9, 2019 as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born December 25, 1984, in Kendallville, to Johnny Jacob and Donna Meyers.
Mr. Meyers worked as a roofer for Canterbury.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Iraq War.
Christopher was a member of the LaGrange VFW and a volunteer at Ark Animal Sanctuary in LaGrange.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Donna Tibbits Anderson and Richard Anderson of Wolcottville; a sister, Teihlia Trammel of Wolcottville; two brothers, Branden Meyers of Wolcottville and Tra’e Meyers-Waeghe of Elkhart; and three stepsisters, Mary Tibbits, Megan (Branden) Hintz, and Amanda Tibbits all of Glidden, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Jacob; stepfather, Doug Tibbits; stepbrother, Johnathon Tibbits; grandparents, Ed and Mary Meyers; and an aunt, Trinket Lee.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
Casketbearers will be Donna Tibbits Anderson, Richard Anderson, Teihlia Trammel, Branden Meyers, Tra’e Meyers-Waeghe, and Edward Meyers.
Calling is Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Rip Chris u was one hell of a guy. Nothing but respect for ya. It was such a blessing to have met u. Prayers to the family sorry for ur loss truly such a tragic loss. Fly high Chris u r and always will be truly missed!
Chris was a great man and had a heart that was bigger then life. Always had a smile on his face . Never a harsh word towards anyone. We only knew him a short time (2yrs) but feel so blessed he was a part of our lives . Chris you will never be forgotten and will continue to live in the hearts of all that you have touched. Donna you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. So sorry for such a great loss. Rest in paradise Chris until we meet again!
