Louann Miller, 73, of Fremont died Thursday, April 26, 2018, at her residence.

Born October 5, 1944, in Angola, she was one of four daughters born to George and Rosella (Gage) Grogg. Her father died when she was a toddler, but, through her mother’s re-marriage, she became the daughter of Cecil Stomm, a widower with three daughters of his own.

Louann spent her adolescence in the Ashley area and graduated from high school there in 1962. She eventually moved to the Detroit, Michigan, area where she worked for Ameritech until her retirement in 1996.

In addition to her parents, Louann was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma (Grogg) Murphy, Beverly (Grogg) Kiester, Margarethelen (Grogg) Scherf, Geraldine (Stomm) Miller, Helen (Stomm) Ransberg, and her ex-husband, Robert Miller.

She is survived by one sister, Beverly (Stomm) Farver, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Louann will be remembered by all who knew her well as a kind and generous being, always willing to share her time, energy, and compassion.

Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2018, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kim Nusbaum officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Lake Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to St. John’s United Church of Christ in Ashley, the American Heart Association, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I have lived in Kentucky for a lot of years and was not back in the Ashley area much. Hate to see a classmate go,.

A wonderful person and a wonderful friend. We shared so many memorable adventures. I am left with so many joyous memories of Louann, I am just saddened that we won't have the opportunity to make more. I will be missing her until we are together again. It's not good-bye it's just so long til then.
