Zeda S. Hoover, 76, of Kendallville, Indiana died Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with her family at her side.

She was born September 24, 1949, in Garrett, Kentucky to Curtis and Martha (Coburn) Sells.

She married Granvil Hoover. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1999.

Zeda retired from Eaton Corporation in Kendallville.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Juliet Hoover of Kendallville; five grandchildren, Kyle Hoover of Kendallville, Brandon (Bre) Hoover of Radford, Virginia, Skylar Hoover of Radford, Virginia, Joshua Ray (Cherry) Hoover of Kendallville, Sadie (Riley Heinzman) Allread of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Velma Lorene (Noel) Mills of Alvin, Texas, Alice Fay Hall of Georgetown, Kentucky, Myrie (Quent) Zimmerman of Avilla, and Lucretta (Allen) Wagley of Kendallville; brother-in-law, Ricky (Lori) Hoover of Kendallville; seven great-grandchildren, Kourtney Hoover, Trinity Hoover, Cheyenne Hoover, Rylee Hoover, Axel Allread, Haysen Heinzman, and Iris Rae Hoover, who is due in May; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Clovis Duane "Punk" Hoover on February 6, 2016; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Hoover on March 11, 2022; two sisters, Bonetta Stacy and Freda Lawson; four brothers, Herman Sells, Marvin Sells, Bill Mosley, and Norman Sells; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clovis and Flora Hoover; three sisters-in-law, Geneva and her husband, Odell Hicks, Gene Garza, and Diane Gamble; and two brothers-in-law, Harlis Hall and Grant Hoover.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Harbor of Love Baptist Church, 2353 South Lima Road, Kendallville, with Pastor Charles Mosley officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Hicks, Grant Gamble, Kevin Sizemore, and Jake Hoover. Active pallbearers will be David Hicks, Josh Hoover, Brandon Hoover, Kyle Hoover, and Skylar Hoover.

Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery near Garrett.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with an evening service at 6 p.m. at the church.
