Obituary

Willie Dell Short, 72, of Ligonier died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

She was born May 22, 1944, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Mrs. Short retired from Ligonier Rubber.

Willie enjoyed watching wrestling and NCIS, and she dearly loved her bird, Tweety.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Short of Ligonier and Charles and Donna Short of Kendallville; four grandchildren, Christopher Short, Amber Morgan, William Short, and Charles Wesley Short, III; and three great-grandchildren, Jackie Lee Thomas, Blake Morgan, and Ricky Lee Morgan, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Short; a grandson, Jackie Short; and two brothers, Bobby Blackman and Gene Blackman.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017, from 12 to 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

A graveside service will follow at Orange Cemetery with Rev. Clarence Combs of Five Corners Baptist Church officiating.
