Obituary

William Earl "Bill" Gay, 77, of Avilla died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne.

He moved to this area in 1972, coming from Detroit.

Mr. Gay had worked in the printing and binding industry.

Bill enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He was born March 27, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to Earl T. and Margaret (Roach) Gay.

On June 9, 1962, in Detroit he married Peggy L. Kemerly. She survives in Avilla.

Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Kristi Gay of Fort Wayne and Kirk and Kim Gay of Oviedo, Florida; two granddaughters, Katherine Gay and Kenna Gay; and a sister, Louise Gay of Novi, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Wieczorek; and a brother, Donald Gay.

Arrangements are pending.
