Memorial service: Saturday, September 15, 2012 - 1 p.m. in the Jansen Pavilion at Bixler Lake, Kendallville. **************************************************

William A. Babin, 65, of Kendallville died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in his residence.

Mr. Babin was a lifetime area resident. He was a mechanic.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was born February 1, 1947, in Kendallville to Joseph and Dorthy (Goleman) Babin. On September 17, 2004, in Wolcottville he married Monica Baker.

Surviving are his wife, Monica Babin of Kendallville; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Nancy Babin of New Paris, Marc and Elisabeth Babin of Sarasota, Florida, and Charles Day of Kendallville; a daughter, Madison McFarland of Warsaw; ten grandchildren; his mother, Dorthy Babin Caron of Albion; and a sister, Rosalee Strange DeBoard of Albion.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, David Babin; a sister, Mary Fleck; and an infant brother, John Babin.

There will be no calling or service.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Jansen Pavilion on the west side of Bixler Lake in Kendallville.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
