Obituary

Willadean C. Snively, 89, of Avilla died Friday, November 30, 2007, at 4:50 pm in Canterbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne with her family by her side.

She had lived in Avilla since 1988, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, dancing, bingo, and traveling.

She was born November 4, 1918, in Steuben County to William & Bessie (Ensley) VanPelt. She married Donald Snively on October 30, 1954, in Steuben County, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1988.

Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Caudill of Albion; one granddaughter and her husband, Aimee Caudill-Garrison & James Garrison of Garrett, and two great grandsons, Parker Garrison and Austin Garrison, also of Garrett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Ursula Shumaker, one nephew, Lavon "Bill" Shumaker, one brother, Donovan VanPelt, one nephew, David VanPelt, and three grandchildren, James R. Clark, Bobby Caudill, and Robby Caudill.

Graveside services will be Thursday, December 6, 2007, at 10 am at Wright Cemetery near Stroh (north of Helmer on SR 327, west on Turkey Creek Road). Preferred memorials are to the family or the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, Indiana.
