Obituary

Wallace N. "Wally" Licorish, 87, of Corunna died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 9:20 p.m. in Wesley Healthcare, Auburn.

Mr. Licorish has lived in this area since 2003, coming from Florida where he had lived for 25 years.

He had worked as an Engineering Supervisor for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, for 30 years.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Kendallville.

He was born February 3, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois, to Archibald Fitz-Royden "Bob" and Iris Messiah (Rock) Licorish. On September 23, 1972, in Redford, Michigan, he married Dolores L. (Mix) Hunter.

Surviving are his wife Dolores L. Licorish of Corunna; a son, Thomas Licorish; two daughters, Linda Licorish of Detroit, Michigan, and Evyon DuPres of Chelsey Michigan; a stepson and his wife, Kent R. and Janet Hunter of Corunna; three grandchildren, including Laura and Jason Atkinson and Jonathan Hunter; one great granddaughter, Kailyn Atkinson; a brother, Milton Licorish of Arizona; and a sister, Lena Aubrey of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Licorish; a sister, Emily Licorish; and a stepdaughter, Kim L. Kaylor.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 6, 2009, at 3 p.m. in the worship center of St. John Lutheran Church, 301 South Oak Street, Kendallville, with Rev. Paul B. Griebel officiating.

Calling will be Sunday, September 6, 2009, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church or Church Doctor Ministries.
