Virginia Rose Scheurich, 93, of Kendallville died Friday, August 11, 2017, at 1:50 p.m. in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Kendallville.
She was born May 15, 1924, in Fort Wayne to Arthur and Martha (Klinger) Conrad.
On June 5, 1942, in Avilla she married Robert Scheurich. He preceded her in death in March, 2000.
Mrs. Scheurich worked at Uniform Printing and Murphy's in Kendallville. She volunteered for many years at the Bargain Shop in Kendallville.
She was a member of the Wayne Center United Methodist Church in Kendallville and the Second Time-Around Euchre Club.
Virginia enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and shuffleboard.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Kendregan of Kendallville; three sons, Jerry (Lynda) Scheurich of Kissimmee, Florida, Steven (Sue) Scheurich of Kendallville, and David (Carolyn) Scheurich of Kendallville; seven grandchildren, Kevin Kendregan, Eric (Micheline) Ray, Lisa (Mike) Hooser, Jim (Holly) Scheurich, Tim (Lisa) Scheurich, Cory Rachael) Scheurich, and Casey (Gail) Scheurich; 11 great-grandchildren, Savannah Ray, Troy Ray, Megan Hooser, Lindsey Hooser, Ethan Scheurich, Chelsey Scheurich, Courtney Justice, Cody Scheurich, Jared Scheurich, Josh Scheurich, and Abby Scheurich; ; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Helen Battocletti of Amhurst, Ohio, and Judy (Bob) Conrad of Fort Wayne.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Luella Stabler and Alice Egolf; and three brothers, Lloyd Conrad, Russell Conrad, and Donald Conrad.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Rev. Kenneth Walker of the Wayne Center United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Avilla Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kevin Kendregan, Mike Hooser, Jim Scheurich, Tim Scheurich, Casey Scheurich, and Cory Scheurich.
Calling is Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to the Wayne Center United Methodist Church, the American Cancer Society, or Parkview Noble Hospice.
