Funeral service: Friday, July 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Ashley Church of God

Calling: Thursday, July 5, 2012 - 2-8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday **************************************************

Virginia S. Leins, 86, of Corunna died Friday, June 29, 2012, at 2:48 a.m. in her daughter's home near Fremont.

She moved to Fremont in 2007 from Corunna.

Mrs. Leins was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, West Fairfield and the Kendallville VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary.

Virginia enjoyed making rugs, sewing, and gardening.

She was born August 1, 1925, in Ashley to Otto and Anna (Hasselman) Lehman. On September 25, 1943, in West Fairfield she married Everett Leins. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2006.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Connie Fanning Widdifield and her companion, Burt Michael of Fremont and Sharon Benner Rose and Brian Rose of Denver, Colorado; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry and Jo Leins of Kendallville, Ron Leins of Auburn, and Rick Leins of Corunna; 21 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Gunsenhouser of Fort Wayne, and Geraldine "Gerry" Stonebraker of Kendallville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ora and Thelma Lehman of Fort Wayne and Martin and Nola Lehman of Tennessee; and her companion, Daryl Dalrymple of Fremont.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Leins and Keith Leins.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Ashley Church of God, 101 North Gonser Avenue, Ashley with Pastor Robert Neace officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.

Pallbearers will be Alan Fanning, Marc Fanning, Steve Leins, Angie Leins, Becky Leins Fortman, Judy Leins Moore, and Jody Leins Klingensmith.

Calling is Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to the Ashley Church of God.
