Obituary

Virginia R. "Granny" Conley, 83, of LaGrange died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at 3:27 p.m. in her residence.

Mrs. Conley, a lifetime area resident, was a homemaker. She graduated from LaGrange High School, and attended the Ontario Congregational Church.

She was born October 7, 1925, in LaGrange to Lewis and Jane (Dunnafin) Hart.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Charlotte Lewis of Wolcottville and Jane and Dowine Tucker of Rome City; three sons, James "Rusty" and Teresa Conley of LaGrange, Richard and Betty Conley of Angola, and William Conley of Rome City; 17 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 30 step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one step great great grandchild; a half sister and her husband, Barb and Glenn Coney of LaGrange; and a step sister, Kate Levitz of LaGrange.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, three brothers, and a granddaughter, Michelle Welch.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Pastor Dale Hicks of the Ontario Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery.

Calling will be Friday, April 3, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
