Obituary

Virginia C. Bock, 90, of Kendallville, Indiana died Friday, August 7, 2026, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

She was born March 16, 1936, in Garrett, Indiana to Charles and Theresa (Crary) Kruger.

She had worked for Garrett Greenhouse, Culligan in Garrett, Meals on Wheels and had been a site manager with Aging and In Home Services.

Virginia had a special way of finding joy in the little things that made life meaningful. As a founding member of the Kendallville Garden Club, she shared her love of gardening and took pride in watching things grow. She had a soft spot for angels and stars, and a love for Elvis.

Some of Virginia’s happiest moments were spent feeding the ducks at Bixler Lake, enjoying the peaceful beauty around her, and sharing in a good game of Bingo. These simple pleasures brought her so much happiness and became part of the memories her loved ones will treasure.

Surviving are two daughters, Sheri D. Cutler of Alabama and Denise Woodcock of Kendallville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janice Nodine of Garrett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard Kruger and Warren Kruger; a great-grandson, Ethan Crespo; and her ex-husband, Max Bock.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Visitation will also be on Wednesday, beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Kendallville Garden Club or Destiny Family of Faith.
