Funeral services will be Monday, November 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Salem United Baptist Church, 8227 N SR 9, Kendallville.
Calling is Sunday, November 23, 2014, after 4 p.m. at the church where an evening service will be held at 6 p.m. ***************************************************************************************** Virgil Wright, 81, of Wolcottville died Thursday, November 20, 2014, at 10:47 a.m. in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.
He moved to this area in 1983, coming from Fairborn, Ohio.
Mr. Wright served in the U.S. Air Force.
He had worked at Newnam Foundry in Kendallville as a foreman. He retired from Strawser Bros. in Kendallville.
He was born July 10, 1933, in West Liberty, Kentucky, to Phillip and Rebecca (Cantrell) Wright.
On March 25, 1989, in Kendallville he married Betty Jean Anglin. She survives in Wolcottville.
Also surviving are four daughters, Gloria (Dean) Godsey of Fairborn, Ohio, Kimberly Lynn Wright of Fort Wayne, Brenda Maples of Garrett, and Marjorie Ginder of Kendallville; five sons, Scott Wright of Kettering, Ohio, Brian Reynolds of Kendallville, Bobby Reynolds of Kendallville, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Reynolds of Auburn, and Anthony (Whitney) Reynolds of Rome City; 30 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Belva Helton of West Liberty, Kentucky, Birdie (Ron) Laughman of Tipp City, Ohio, Blanche Howard of West Liberty, Kentucky, Goldie Combs of West Liberty, Kentucky, Christine (Joe) Cantrell of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Patty (Larry) Helton of West Liberty, Kentucky; and a brother, Burton Wright of West Liberty, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Diana Lynn Wright and Roxanna Reynolds; two sisters, Bertha Williams and Lula Harris; and a brother, Reuben Wright.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Salem United Baptist Church, 8227 N SR 9, Kendallville with the Rev. Billy Tuttle and the Rev. Elmer Slone officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Honorary pallbearer will be Burton Wright. Active pallbearers will be Jackie Terry, Anthony Reynolds, Justin Barry, Joey Barry, and Jeffrey Reynolds.
Calling is Sunday, November 23, 2014, after 4 p.m. at the church where an evening service will be held at 6 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to the family.
