Victor Dee Chaney, Jr., 77, of Corunna, Indiana, died Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler. He was born March 5, 1944, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Victor D. Chaney, Sr. and Maurine (Smith) Chaney. Mr. Chaney retired after 42 years with Kraft Foods in Kendallville. Victor enjoyed fishing, being at the farm, and going to casinos. He dearly loved being with his grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, Scott Chaney of Corunna and Branden Meyers of Wolcottville; ten grandchildren, Morgan Meyers, Cortnee (Justin Sims) Chaney, Logan Chaney, Aiden Chaney, Raylynn Meyers, Kameron Meyers, Amber Quarry, Cain (Raven) Quarry, Abagail Schomaker, and James Ross; a great-grandson, Caden Quarry; a brother, Ronald (Mary) Chaney of Lakeland, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Sells. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Cremation will follow the service.
