Vicky Lynn Hastings, 67, of Kendallville died Sunday morning, July 7, 2024, at about 6:10 a.m. She battled pancreatic cancer for four years.

She was born on May 30, 1957, in Fort Wayne to Floyd and Roselyn (White) Sowers. They preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Ricky (Danielle) Crager and three grandchildren, Odin Evan, Emmett Paul, and Remi Jo Lynn Crager all of Huntertown and her companion Randy Hastings of Kendallville. She was an awesome sister to Tammy (Herb) Larter of Garrett, Nona LaRue of Avilla, Kirk Sowers of Waterloo, Wade (Kathy) Sowers of Kentucky, and Shelly White-Fredrick of Kendallville.

Private family graveside services will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion at a later date, with Pastor Ben Stafford officiating.

In keeping with her love for animals, preferred memorials are to the Humane Society of Noble County, 1305 Sherman Street, Kendallville, Indiana 46755.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
