Vickie L. Wallen, 69, of Wawaka, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born in Kendallville on January 13, 1954, to the late Richard L. and Beatrice I. (Hovarter) Davis.

She married Donald L. Wallen on January 20, 1973, in Wolcottville.

Mrs. Wallen was retired.

She enjoyed, gardening, cooking, baking, being outdoors, and having cookouts. Most of all she loved and enjoyed the company of her family and her beloved dog and best friend, Abby.

Survivors include, a son, Jeremy (Josephine) Wallen of Wawaka; a son, Nathan (Carrie Vanhoozer) Wallen of Rome City; a daughter, Naomi (Keith) Wooten of Wolcottville; 11 grandchildren, Mikia Christian, Lynnsey (Devon) Berkes, Casey (Alex) Cervantes, Mayson (Torre) Wallen, Lauren (Pancho) Wallen, Haylie (Dylan) Wallen, Megan Wallen, Kaidence Wallen, Chase Wallen, Natalynn Wooten, and baby Wooten due in August; eight great-grandchildren, Asher, Zoee, Alex, Sophia, Layla, Alyza, a baby boy due in February, and a baby girl due in March; two sisters, Darlene Ritchie of Kendallville and Cheri (Mike) Shearer of Ligonier; a brother, Mike (Sue) Davis of Avilla; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald L. Wallen on February 2, 2022.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 29, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Hilltop Baptist Church, 2722 E 900 N, Rome City, with Pastor Johnny Huff officiating.

Visitation is Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
