Valorie Lynn Strunk, 68, of Kendallville, Indiana died Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.
She was born May 25, 1955, in Kendallville to Edward and Helen (Stomm) Caldwell.
On November 23, 1972, in LaGrange, she married Robert Edwin Strunk, Jr.
Mrs. Strunk retired after 27 years from Nucor in Waterloo as a dispatch manager.
She enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles, crafting, crocheting, sewing, clay sculpting, and cutting hair. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Robert E. Strunk, Jr. of Kendallville; three daughters, Amanda Strunk of Avilla, April (Kirk Stahl) Staton of Avilla, and Amber (Jimmy Cox) Strunk of Ligonier; two sons, Robert E. (Cassy) Strunk, III of Albion and Alex Strunk of Kendallville; eleven grandchildren, Kristina Mills, Kaitlyn Strunk, Aaron Strunk, Kylee Staton, Ashley Brown, Andrew J. Staton, Jr., Bailey Rose, Brayden Strunk, Kierra Strunk, Harley Flint, and Haylee Flint; several great-grandchildren; her stepmother, Marjorie (Brady) Caldwell of LaGrange; a brother, Mark Caldwell of LaGrange; and a stepbrother, Dennis Smith of Kendallville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Caldwell; her mother, Helen Stomm; a sister, Patty McLarty; three brothers, Doug Caldwell, Craig Caldwell, Craig Dudley, and a stepbrother, David Smith.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor James Bartlett of East Springfield and Mongo United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
