Obituary

Tucker Mitchell Thomas Kerzman, age 9, of Rome City, Indiana, died Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne from the results of a bicycle accident on June 2nd in Rome City.

He was born April 29, 2017, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Anthony and Tiffany (Franks) Kerzman.

Tucker just finished the second grade at Rome City Elementary School. He had previously attended Wayne Center Elementary School in Kendallville.

Though his life was far too short, Tucker filled every day with laughter, energy, and love. He had a bright personality and a sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. One of his favorite things was teasing his dad about not knowing the meaning of "6-7." Tucker thought it was hilarious, and he never missed an opportunity to joke about it. What was once a source of laughter between father and son now carries a much deeper meaning, forever connecting his family to a date they will always hold close to their hearts.

Tucker will be remembered for his smile, his playful spirit, and the happiness he brought to family and friends. He enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball. He loved everyone and was always giving away hugs. His teachers fondly remember Tucker for his daily hugs. He loved being the center of attention and lived his life to serve everyone.

He leaves behind a family who cherished him deeply and who will miss him every day. While words cannot fully express the sorrow of his passing, they also cannot diminish the lasting impact of the joy he brought into the lives of others.

Surviving ae his parents, Tony and Tiffany Kerzman of Rome City; four brothers, Findley, Xander, Graycen, and Ayden; three sisters, Arabella, Gracie, and Bailey; maternal grandparents, Marilyn and Bill Randall of Rome City; paternal grandparents, Shawn and Becky Kerzman of Columbia City and Tammy and Todd Kinsey of Kendallville; and paternal great-grandmother, Darlene Kerzman of Valley City, North Dakota.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Eric Franks; and maternal great-grandparents, Gene and Ed Lothamer.

Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Grace Christian Church, 126 East Mitchell Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Tucker’s funeral service will be Saturday, June 13,2026, at 10 a.m. at the church with Pastor Scotty Ritchie officiating.

Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Though Tucker's time here was brief, his love, laughter, and light will never be forgotten.

While many prayed for a miracle, one emerged in an unexpected way: through his accident, people were brought together in prayer, united by hope, faith, and love.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
