Travis P. Armey, 24, of Kendallville died Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in Kendallville.

Mr. Armey had attended Northside High School in Fort Wayne and lived with his father, Daniel Armey until 1995. He then moved to Howe, and had lived in Kendallville the past five years. He worked at Performance Food Group in Kendallville, and had previously worked in the Amish community as a frame builder.

He was born August 30, 1983, in LaGrange to Daniel and Deborah (Honaker) Armey.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Deborah and Mike Brockman of Kendallville; his father and stepmother, Daniel and Linda Armey of Sturgis, Michigan; a son, Landyn Dejong of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Kayla Armey of Sturgis, Kara Armey of Sturgis, Amy Brockman of Fort Wayne, and Brandi Brockman of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Beau Sutton of Kendallville, Nathan Armey of Sturgis, and Cory Brockman of Fort Wayne who is currently serving in the military in Iraq; maternal grandmother, Jean Perkins of Wolcottville; maternal grandfather, Keith Honaker of Wolcottville; and paternal grandmother, Gene Armey of Howe.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the First Church of God, 777 North Detroit Street, LaGrange, with Pastor Brian Van Osdol officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Calling will be Monday, June 2, 2008, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Preferred memorials are to a trust fund being set up for his son, Landyn Dejong.
