Obituary

Tracy Ann Hicks, 40, of Auburn and formerly of Garrett died Friday, December 10, 2010, at 1:55 p.m. in DeKalb Memorial Hospital.

She graduated from Lakeland High School in 1988. She had previously been employed by Reinhart in Spencerville.

She was a member of Green Chapel Church, Wolcottville.

Tracy was born May 21, 1970, in Springfield, Ohio, to Monroe and Wilma (Slone) Hicks.

Surviving are two sons, Dakota Hicks of Auburn and Alex Padilla-Hicks at home; her mother and stepfather, Wilma and Ricky Blankenship of Wolcottville; three sisters, Sharon (Wade) Cheek of Texas, Lisa Castle of Fort Wayne, and Charmin (Patrick) Baxter of Kendallville; and a brother, Ben (Linda) Castle of Rome City.

She was preceded in death by her father on September 19, 1992.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Mel Heiniger of Green Chapel Church, Wolcottville officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Monday, December 13, 2010, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
