Tina Conley, 79, of Kendallville died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. in her residence with family and friends at her side.
She moved to Kendallville in 1949, coming from Kentucky.
Tina loved going out to eat, family get-togethers, gardening, needle pointing, crocheting, taking walks, traveling, and visiting family and friends.
She was born March 2, 1932, in Garrett, Kentucky, to Willard and Margaret Gibson. In 1952, she married Mitchell Conley. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Molargik of Kendallville; five sons, Dr. Ron Conley of Fort Wayne, Jeffrey (Susan) Conley of Fort Wayne, Roger Conley of Kendallville, Herman (Brenda) Conley of Rome City, and Christopher (Deborah) Conley of Ney, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Lucas (Kara) Conley of Commercial Point, Ohio, Tami (Rob) Gulia of Greenville, SC, Angela (Joe) Hunter of Kendallville, Thad (April) Conley of LaOtto, Ty (Mindy) Conley of Rome City, Brandon Conley of New York City, Nathan Conley of Fort Wayne, Chastity (Alan) Landon of North Augusta, SC, and Heather (Mike) Murphey of Aiden SC; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and caregivers, granddaughter, Angie Hunter of Kendallville and cousin, Lucreta Duncan of Kendallville.
She was also preceded in death by a son Larry Conley in 1972; a daughter, Darlene Streets in 1979; a granddaughter, Larrisa Conley; two brothers, Denver Gibson and Dennis Gibson; and four half brothers, Pete Sells, Curtis Sells, Otis Cox, and Willie Cox.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Phil Lucas and Pastor Willie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
Casketbearers will be Lucas Conley, Thad Conley, Ty Conley, Brandon Conley, Nathan Conley, and Chandler Conley.
Calling is Sunday, February 26, 2012, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Parkview Noble Home Health and Hospice, 1836 Ida Red Road, Kendallville.
