Timothy Shane "Nico" Nicodemus, 69, of LaGrange, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 22, 2024, at his residence.

He was born March 23, 1955, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Paul and Gloria (Yoder) Nicodemus.

Mr. Nicodemus has worked at Zollner-Piston in Fort Wayne and, most recently, doing maintenance for the Department of Natural Resources in LaGrange County.

Nico enjoyed fishing, rugby, hockey, mushroom hunting, hiking, jogging, and watching westerns. He was an avid Notre Dame fan.

Surviving are a daughter, Haley (Alex) Bunner of Fort Wayne; Haley's Mom, Pam Smith of Fort Wayne; his father, Paul Nicodemus of Holland, Michigan; a brother, Phil (Smith) Nicodemus of Prosperity, South Carolina; three sisters, Kim (Dave) Nicodemus-Reinking of Fort Wayne, Kristy (Tim) Foster of New Haven, and Stefany (Steve) Howard of Grayslake, Illinois; many nieces and nephews, Rachelle (Dan "Porch") Reinking, Luke (Caroline) Foster, Kasey (Charlie O.) Foster, Clayton (Kaleigh) Foster, Audrey (Nolan) Bigelow, Phillip Nicodemus, II, Alex Nicodemus, Jason (Millie) Nicodemus, Ruby Howard, and William Howard; great-nieces and great-nephews, Summer, Charlotte, Ledger, Elvis, and Claire; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; numerous friends from childhood/high school, Fort Wayne Rugby Football Club, hockey and fishing buddies, and friends/neighbors at Big Turkey Lake.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria; and his father's second wife, Nancy (Schrock) Nicodemus.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Pastor Tim Graham officiating.

Visitation is Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family, the Fort Wayne Rugby Football Club, or the Indiana Nongame Wildlife Fund.
