Timothy Lee Carrell, 40, of LaGrange died Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born March 31, 1983, in Paris, Illinois to Larry R. and Diane G. (Whitesell) Carrell.

On September 17, 2005, in LaGrange he married Amanda Owsley.

He was a stay-at-home dad and had previously worked as a drafter, plotting out home sites in subdivisions.

He attended Firm Foundation Ministries in Centreville, Michigan.

Tim loved the Chicago Bears, gaming, and history, especially World War I, World War II and the Civil War.

Surviving are his wife, Amanda Carrell of LaGrange; a son, Dominic Carrell of LaGrange; two sisters, Bev (Dave) Witt of Illinois, and Amy Allen of Illinois; a brother, John Carrell of Illinois; his father and stepmother, Larry R. and Marty Carrell of Illinois; his mother-in-law, Deb Owsley of LaGrange; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell and Shay Owsley of LaGrange.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane G. Carrell; four siblings, Terry Carrell, Christy Carrell, Tamara Carrell, and Rhonda Carrell.

A Celebration of life service will be Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Firm Foundation Ministries in Centreville, Michigan.

Preferred memorials are to Reason 4 Hope or to Firm Foundation Ministries for the youth.
