Private memorial service at a later date ******************************************************************* Thomas J. Frey, 59, of Kendallville died unexpectedly Thursday, August 8, 2013, in his residence.

He was a lifetime area resident, and a 1972 graduate of East Noble High School.

He worked at Courier in Kendallville.

Tom was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He liked animals, feeding the birds, and was a nature lover. He enjoyed "the oldies" on Thursday mornings with his friends.

He was born March 7, 1954, in Kendallville to Raymond and Marilee (Barnes) Frey.

Surviving are his companion, Ellen Blanton of Kendallville; his mother, Marilee Frey of Kendallville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Margo R. and John Fenstermaker of Jerome, Michigan and Marla K. and Greg Robinson of Kendallville; four nieces, Heather and Todd Boyles of Kendallville, Hillary Baczynski of Howe, Jama and Matt Green of Virginia, and Jill Fenstermaker of Chicago; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved dog, Missy.

He was preceded in death by his father on June 12, 1995.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
