Obituary

Thelma J. Bolen, 80, of LaGrange died Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 1:49 a.m. at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She moved to this area 47 years ago, coming from Michigan.

She was born October 17, 1937, in Garrett, Kentucky, to Rell and Laura (Fitzpatrick) Coburn.

Mrs. Bolen worked at PIC in Albion, now Dexter Axel, for over 30 years.

She was a member of the Church of the True God, north of South Milford.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda (Glenn) Terry of LaGrange, Mary (Jose) Hernandez of Mission, Texas, and Danielle Tackett-Bolen of Kendallville; two grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous siblings.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rell Coburn; her mother, Laura Terry; a daughter, Gloria "Jeanie" Miller; a grandson; and several siblings.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the True God, 5685 S SR 3, Wolcottville with Pastor Kenny Beverly officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery.

Calling is Monday, December 18, 2017, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Church of the True God and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
