Terry Joe Strayer, 70, of Wolcottville passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 19, 2024. He was born in Wauseon, Ohio on January 15, 1954 to Virgie and Ross Strayer.

Terry moved to Indiana from Ohio for to oversee management of Cadillac Frames in Topeka for many years. He later in life worked in the RV industry.

He liked to spend his spare time on the on the water. He spent many summers at Devils Lake in Michigan, where his family had a cottage. He was a competitive water skier when he was younger, winning many trophies and titles with his siblings. He also loved to drive the boat around on the lake and sail on his Hobie cat sailboat.

After retirement, he liked spending time with his two daughters, Michelle and Jamie, but even more than that, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, Alisa, Lilly, and Dylan. Last year, he was blessed with the arrival of his first great grandson, Micah.

Terry leaves behind his life partner, Deb Schoettley of Wolcottville. He leaves behind his two daughters, Michelle Wenger and Jamie Tetzloff. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Alisa (Collin) Schlabach, Lilly, Dylan, and his great grandson, Micah. He also leaves behind his siblings Tim (Becky) Strayer, and Ted Strayer (Karen Parish). He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgie (Quillett) and Donald Ross Strayer and his sister, Tammy Strayer.

There will be no funeral services for Terry, but the family is planning a celebration of life memorial for him.
