Tammy Sue Huff, 39, of Kendallville went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She had been ill since March 7th.
She was a 1995 graduate of East Noble High School and a 1999 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University where she earned a Bachelor's degree. She served as Vice President of her senior class while at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Ms. Huff had been employed with the Kendallville News-Sun, the Kendallville Day Care Center, was apartment manager for Deerfield Apartments in Kendallville, and was a substitute teacher for the East Noble School Corporation.
Tammy was a life-long member of CrossPointe Family Church of the Nazarene in Kendallville. She was able to impact many young lives through working at the Day Care Center, substitute teaching, and volunteering at her church. She loved the clarinet and played it through high school, college, substitute teaching, and at home.
She was born September 20, 1976, in Kendallville to Edward Huff, Sr. and Lois (Charles) Huff. They survive in Kendallville.
Also surviving are a brother, Edward K. Huff, Jr. of Kendallville; her companion, Paul W. Goings of Kendallville; maternal grandmother, Cora Barker of South Milford; maternal step grandmother, Rachel Charles of Lincolnton, North Carolina; a niece, Kendal Sue Huff of Avilla; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Patricia Sue Huff, maternal grandfather, Landan Charles, and maternal step grandfather, Ray Barker.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. in CrossPointe Family Church of the Nazarene in Kendallville with Pastor Rich Secor officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
Calling is Monday, April 4, 2016, from 2 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to the children's department of CrossPointe Family Church of the Nazarene or to the family for funeral expenses.
