Tab Neff Foust, 54, of Kendallville died Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 5:13 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne following a six-year battle with cancer.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army as an engineer.
Mr. Foust had worked for Aluminum Recovery in Kendallville as a maintenance supervisor.
He was a member of the Kendallville VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary and Kendallville American Legion Post 86 and attended Ivy Tech Community College.
Tab enjoyed kayaking with his step-grandson, camping, and playing pool. An artistic and creative person, he loved woodworking and making things with his hands. He was an avid Colts fan.
He was born October 23, 1961, in Kendallville to Robert and Carolyn S. (Martin) Foust. His father preceded him in death.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Tom Mortimore of Kendallville; two step-daughters, Michelle Keck of Kendallville and Chris (Tony) Burford of Big Turkey Lake; a step-grandson, Kody Martin; a sister, Dawn E.A. (Don) Reed of Kendallville; a brother, Robert (Sarah Blair) Foust of Kendallville; a step-sister, Kay Ann (Mike) Tuttle of Huntington; and two step-brothers, Thomas J. (Cindy) Mortimore, Jr. of Huntington and Wade P. Mortimore of Dayton, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 28, 2016, at noon in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Burial will be in the Sedan Cemetery, Corunna.
Honor guard services will be provided by Kendallville VFW Post 2749, Kendallville American Legion Post 86, and Rome City American Legion Post 381.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, October 28, 2016, from 10 a.m. to noon in the funeral home.
