Suzanne C.  "Susie" Arnold, 91, of Big Long Lake, Wolcottville, Indiana, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Born in Fort Wayne December 5, 1930, she was the daughter of Dr. Max and Sophia Andrews. After graduating Central Catholic High School and Mount Saint Joseph University, Susie married the love of her life, Bob Arnold, on July 25, 1953. Over the years, countless people were positively impacted by Susie's quick wit and endearing personality. Even though she selflessly served many people in her roles at work and volunteering, undoubtedly her highest priority and greatest source of pride were her seven children and their children. As parents, Bob and Susie taught many valuable life lessons through the way they lived. Some of those enduring lessons include value people over things, support your spouse with authentic love and respect and, above all, trust that God will provide. Surviving is her best friend of 69 years, Robert C. Arnold; her wise counsel will be missed by her children and their spouses, Mary Anne (Mike) Horn, Daniel (Christine) Arnold, Cindy Hensinger, David (Ann) Arnold, Lisa (Robert) Barnum, Julie (David) Carroll and Christopher (Lisa) Arnold; and, "Grandma Susie's" sense of humor and embellished stories will be missed by her 24 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Susie was preceded in death by son-in-law, Ron Hensinger, her parents and brothers Jerry Andrews and Bill Andrews. Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville where Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. St. Gaspar Catholic Church, 10871 N. State Road 9, Rome City with Father Louis Fowoyo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be directed to Helping Hands, P.O.
