Obituary

Steve T. Kinerk, 81, of Wolcottville, Indiana, died Saturday, October 7, 2023, at his residence.

He was born October 10, 1941, in Allen County to Merle and Gertrude Kinerk.

On April 16, 2000, at their home, he married Susie (Hall) Coburn.

Mr. Kinerk retired from Amerigas in Kendallville as a bulk truck delivery driver.

Steve loved hunting, fishing, and skeet shooting at Young Guns in Wolcottville.

In his younger years he had been Exalted Ruler at Kendallville Elks Lodge #1194.

Surviving are his wife, Sue Kinerk of Wolcottville; three daughters, Tammy (Chris) Cotton of Syracuse, Traci Schuh of Texas and Claudia (Don) Cornett of Wolcottville; three sons, James (Cathy) Coburn of Wolcottville, Richard (Michelle) Coburn of Avilla, and Timothy (Jessica) Coburn of Bristol; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Gienger of Auburn, Pat (Jim) Fortner of Avilla, and Judy Hillegass of Avilla; and numerous nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Edward Schuh; and a grandson, Matthew Terry.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

Private burial will take place at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
