Obituary

Stanley Bryan Surfus, 30, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and formerly of the Auburn area died unexpectedly Monday, September 3, 2018, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

He was born February 20, 1988, in Auburn to Stanley John Surfus and Karen (Cartwright) Tritch.

On March 14, 2008, in Auburn he married Randi Lynn Straley.

He was a supervisor at Waukesha Iron and Metal in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Stan loved all sports, but especially the Cubs and Colts. He enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, and loved to take his daughter hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Randi Surfus of Oconomowoc; a daughter, KayLynn Thomas, at home; his mother and stepfather, Karen and Rick Tritch of Hudson; his father and stepmother, Stanley and Sheila Surfus of Auburn; five brothers, Brandyn (Kayla) Surfus of Watertown, Wisconsin, Allen Collins of Garrett, Travis Sturgill of Auburn, Brandon Tritch of Angola, and Timmy Zimmerman of Angola; three sisters, Brooke Surfus of Auburn, Amber Johnson of Mongo, and Bethany (Chester) Craft of West Lafayette; two sisters-in-law, Samantha Straley of Kendallville and Jami (Shaun) Graber of Grabill; maternal grandparents, Joe and Linda Tritch of Hudson; paternal grandmother, Cathy Armstrong of Auburn; mother-in-law, Dena Smith of Ashley; father-in-law, Randy (Tami) Straley of Hudson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ivan and Dorcas Cartwright; and paternal grandparents, Marilyn and Wayne Surfus and Bill Armstrong.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Independent Full Gospel Church, 1000 South Gonser Avenue, Ashley with Pastor Sam Weimer officiating. Burial will be in Circle Cemetery, Hudson.

Pallbearers will be Randy Straley, Brandyn Surfus, Darrel Lamp, Eddie Beaser, John Kolstad, Chris Straley, Jonathan Kaufmann, Justin Peals, Shaun Graber, Craig Lachance, and John Chase.

Calling is Sunday, September 9, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
