Obituary

Sonja M. Roe, 64, of McClish Lake passed away at home on Thursday, November 10, 2016, with her family at her side.

She had lived at McClish Lake for 20 years, coming from Decatur.

She was owner of the Iron Horse Restaurant in Garrett, worked for the Adams County Parks Department, Department of Natural Resources, and Mounds State Park in Russells Point, Ohio.

Sonja enjoyed walking her dog, Checkers, riding horses, cooking, and baking.

She was born on December 5, 1951, in Decatur to Richard E. and Enid (Reichard) Roe.

Surviving are a son, Lon Grove of Decatur; a daughter, Michele; a granddaughter, Padin Grove; her mother, Enid Roe of Decatur; a brother, Steve (Susan) Roe of Decatur; and her companion, James Grove of McClish Lake.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Roe; a brother, Gary Roe; an infant brother, Richard Nathan Roe; paternal grandparents, Delmas and Vada Roe; and maternal grandparents, Oatis and Margaret Reichard.

Private graveside services will be held at Backesto Cemetery in Berne.
