Skye Elizabeth (Terry) Gibson, 39, of Kendallville, Indiana, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

She was born June 22, 1986, in Kendallville, Indiana.

Skye was known for her bright mind and outgoing spirit. She had a way of making friends wherever she went and was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone.

Skye is survived by her parents, Patricia and Tracy Mobley of Avilla and Wendall and Tammy Smallwood of Bronson, Michigan; a sister, Candace (Nate) Stuller of Auburn; half siblings, Dylan Smallwood Hall of LaGrange, Conner Smallwood of Mongo, Dustin (Bailey) Smallwood of Bronson, Michigan; and Ashley Meyer of Burr Oak, Michigan; two stepchildren, Kathryn Gibson of LaGrange and Kottin Gibson of Bryan, Ohio; a step granddaughter, Alianna; and a special friend, Travis Barcus of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Cassie Mobley; and grandparents, Wallace and Armenta Terry, Archie and Sandra Mobley, Arthur James, and Nevil Smallwood.

Visitation is Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville

Skye's funeral service will be Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Woodruff Cemetery

Pallbearers are Andrew Terry, B.J. Mobley, A.J. Mobley, Nate Stuller, Taylor Reed, and Jimmy Waltenberger.
