Shawn Michael Leins, 18, of Cromwell and formerly of Ashley died Friday, October 12, 2012, in Cromwell.

He had attended DeKalb High School in Auburn.

Shawn loved motocross, hunting, fishing, skateboarding, and spending time with family. He had many friends who he enjoyed hanging out and having fun with. Shawn always had a kind heart and would put others before himself.

He was born August 23, 1994, in Kendallville to Michael Shawn Leins and Melisa Riddle.

Surviving are his father Michael Shawn Leins of Wawaka; his mother and her companion, Melisa "Lisa" Riddle and Mark Cannon of Cromwell;a sister, Kirsten Leins of Fort Wayne; a brother, Deegan Lynch of Corunna; maternal grandparents, Charolotte and Huburt Coburn of Wolcottville and Jake and Polly Riddle of Avilla; paternal grandmother, Kay Leins of Blue Mound, Kansas; and paternal grandfather, Ron Leins of Auburn.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Simpson and Reba Withrow and his paternal great grandparents, Everett and Virginia Leins.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 7 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

Calling is Tuesday, October 16, 2012, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
