Sharon Ann (Sleeper) Terry, 60, of Stroh died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Terry, a lifetime area resident, was a graduate of Prairie Heights High School. She retired from Kraft Foods in Kendallville.

She was an avid bingo player. She dearly loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed attending their sporting events.

She was born January 19, 1949, in Kendallville to Robert Edward and Flossie (Dishman) Sleeper. She was married January 28, 1967, in Stroh to Eugene "Gene" Terry. He survives in Stroh.

Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Lisa Terry of Stroh; a stepdaughter and her husband, Teresa and Chad Haines of Wolcottville; a granddaughter, Taryn Terry; a grandson, Tanner Terry; three stepgrandchildren, Brady Schrock, Gabriel Haines, and Sage Haines; two aunts and an uncle, Charolette and Tom Hart of Kendallville and Berdena Smith of Kendallville; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Diana and Marion Shrock of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. in the Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Willie Collins officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Chapel Cemetery, LaGrange.

Casketbearers will be Tanner Terry, Brady Schrock, Cecil Messer, Lonnie Messer, Keith Wallace, Kevin Wallace, Shawn Severe, and Craig Everage.

Calling will be Friday, April 3, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Prairie Heights Athletic Department.
