Obituary

Shad Steven Hickey, 41, of Pleasant Lake died Friday, July 10, 2020, in Fort Wayne.

He was born February 6, 1979, to Steve and Deborah (Arthur) Hickey.

Mr. Hickey worked at Janis Manufacturing in Auburn.

Surviving are his wife, Kezia Dawn Lee (Young) Hickey of Battle Creek, Michigan; a daughter, Alaine Hickey at home; four sons, Dakota Egner and Darrick Young both of Kosciusko County, Indiana, and Dalton Hickey and Wyatt Hickey both at home; his mother and stepfather, Deborah and James Henning of LaGrange; his father and stepmother, Steve and Lori Hickey of Pleasant Lake; a sister, Amy Hickey of Warsaw; a brother, Eric Hickey of Texas; maternal grandparent, Dick & Flo Arthur of Richmond; and step grandmother, Doris "Mike" Wiggins of Kendallville.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlin Canter.

There will be no services. Private burial will be in St. Gaspar Catholic Cemetery, Rome City.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
