IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott A.
Mills
July 22, 1973 – May 1, 2012
Visitation: Saturday, May 5, 2012 - 1-5 p.m. No funeral service *************************************************
Scott Anthony Mills, 38, of Kendallville passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
He was a 1992 graduate of Central Noble High School. Scott had been employed at Color Masters in Butler for six years as second shift lead manager.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Butler and the National Rifle Society.
Scott's greatest strength was the love and compassion he had for others. During his wife's three year battle with brain cancer, Scott was her primary caregiver. He spent most nights at the hospital after he got off work during her many stays at Parkview Noble Hospital and Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. His care and devotion was simply outstanding.
Scott's presence around those who loved him will be greatly missed. His sense of humor and laughter has been silenced, but our love for him will endure forever.
He was born July 22, 1973, in Wabash to Charles and Sharon L. (Hawkins) Mills. On April 17, 1998, he married Nancy Y. Robinson. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2010.
Surviving are his mother, Sharon L. Mills of Albion; his father and stepmother, Charles and Mary Mills of Warsaw; a sister and brother-in-law, Michelle L. and Kenn Harvey of Marion; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff A. and Krista Mills of Appleton, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews, Jedidiah, Josiah, Joyce, Elizabeth, and Heritier Harvey and Kiera and Jianna Mills; his fiance and best friend, April Myers of Kendallville; her children, Savannah Myers and Jude Myers, both of Kendallville; and his beloved and loyal dog, Sasha.
Calling will be Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date.
Preferred memorials are to the Noble County Humane Society or to the children of April Myers.
