Obituary

Scott Anthony Evers, 42, of Wolcottville died Sunday, March 1, 2020, at his residence.

He was born August 17, 1977, in Kendallville to Frank E. and Evelyn (Stayner) Evers. They survive in Wolcottville.

He was employed by Heartland RV in Middlebury.

Scott enjoyed cutting wood and goose hunting. He loved the cattle on the family farm. Watching the Food Network and learning how to cook and smoke food was one of his hobbies, along with drinking beer and driving his Ranger.

Also surviving are a son, Tyler of Wakarusa; five sisters, Chrystal Evers of Frisco, Texas, Rebecca (Rocky) Black of Ligonier, Monica (Todd) Mase of Rome City, Megan (Ben) Kuhn of Kendallville, and Jessica (Justin) Growcock of Wolcottville; three brothers, Philip (Michelle) Evers of Gambrills, Maryland, Mark (Christie) Evers of Wolcottville, and Isaac (Brittany) Evers of Wolcottville: 18 nieces and nephews, Cole Lehman, Kyle Lehman, Hannah Evers, Cheyenne Black, Isaac Black, Nathan Evers, Emily Evers, Andrew Evers, Olivia Evers, Cooper Mase, Carson Mase, Lillian Evers, Oliver Evers, Dylan Bower, Gage Beiswanger, Courtney Beiswanger, Alexia Growcock, and Avery Growcock; two great-nieces; a great-nephew; and his significant other, Erica Cuenca of Garrett.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 12 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Dale Hoyt officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2020, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
