Sarah Hester Meade, 87, of Ligonier, Indiana, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her residence with her family at her side. She was born November 11, 1934, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to Clella and Arlie (Baker) Tabor. On August 21, 1965 in Verdonville, West Virginia, she married Hallie Forrest Meade. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2013. Mrs. Meade retired from Nishikawa Cooper (NISCO) in Topeka. Sarah dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching them play. She also enjoyed sewing and collecting pictures of her family. She will be dearly missed. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, A. Mearl and Kevin Kraushaar of Rome City; six grandchildren, James (Shannon) Kraushaar, Matt (Mandi) Kraushaar, Melody (Dusty) Diehm, Crystal Kraushaar, Derek (Kayla) Kraushaar, and Erik Kraushaar; ten great-grandchildren, Hayden Phillips, Kennedy Kraushaar, Kristian Kraushaar, Tucker Diehm, Magnolia Diehm, Hudson Diehm, Clive Kraushaar, Zayn Kraushaar, Lilly Kraushaar, and Zoey Newton, with another one on the way; and a brother, H.C. (Wanda) Tabor. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. Visitation will be Monday, June 13, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Sarah's funeral service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Ken Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. Pallbearers are James Kraushaar, Matt Kraushaar, Erik Kraushaar, Dusty Diehm, Hayden Phillips, and Derek Kraushaar.
