Sandra Kay "Sandy" Shull, 65, of Kendallville died Thursday, April 7, 2016, in the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.
She was a lifetime area resident. A 1968 graduate of East Noble High School, she also attended Ravenscroft Beauty College.
Mrs. Shull owned and operated the Love-It Boutique in Helmer, where she welcomed each client with a smile for over 44 years.
She was a member of the Helmer United Methodist Church, the Indiana Hairdressers Association, and the Three Rivers Ninety-Nines.
Sandy grew up on her family farm and loved to ride horses, motorcycles, tractors, and especially her Cushman scooter. She obtained her pilot's license in the late 1970's and loved to fly. She recently received a scooter from her husband for their 42nd anniversary. Those who knew and loved Sandy said she had only one speed, and that was to go fast.
Sandy lived on Little Long Lake since 1979 and enjoyed boating, fishing, and life on the lake with her family and friends. Sandy had a deep love of music, especially southern gospel hymns, and enjoyed singing and playing piano with her family and for her church.
She was born June 25, 1950, in Garrett to Emmett and Martha (Schulthess) Lovett. They survive in Kendallville. On June 18, 1972 at the Lovett family farm she married Henry P. Shull. He survives in Kendallville.
Also surviving are two daughters, Chandra "Chandy" (Patrick) Haney of Noblesville and Krystal Shull of Noblesville; five grandchildren, Aidan, Rheagan, Adeline, Reed, and Royce Haney; a sister, Julie (Tom) Woehnker of Kendallville; and a brother, Bill (Brenda) Lovett of Kendallville.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Steve Brittenham officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling is Tuesday, April 12, 2016, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tony Shull, Matt Shull, Joe Shull, Tommy Woehnker, Hank Dunkel, and Josh Keipper.
Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
