Obituary

Samantha Elizabeth Bailey, 20, of Wolcottville died unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 6:48 a.m. in her residence.

She was born July 19, 1997, in LaGrange to Chris and Kimberly Renee (Stacy) Bailey. Her mother preceded her in death on August 6, 2017.

Samantha was a 2016 graduate of Lakeland High School and had worked at Parkview LaGrange Hospital in the dietary department.

She dearly loved her family and had the biggest heart. One of her greatest joys was giving gifts to others, she would rather give than to receive. Her love and affection will be truly missed.

Surviving are her father and her bonus mom, Chris and Stephanie (Hudson) Bailey of Wolcottville; paternal grandparents, Barbara (Oscar) Slone of Rome City and Larry (Linda) Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky; maternal grandparents, Fred (Sherry) Stacy of Rome City and Mary Jo Hudson of Wolcottville; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her boyfriend, Andrew Hasting of Ligonier.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Pastor Phillip Lucas of Ashley Love-Divine Church in Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Monday, June 25, 2018, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
