Ryan Andrew Cope, 41, of Atwood Lake, Wolcottville, Indiana, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born August 6, 1981, in Angola, Indiana, to Andrew Cope and Kelly D. Little.

He was the owner and operator of Wide Open Trucking.

Ryan enjoyed traveling and driving anything that had wheels, whether it had two wheels, four wheels, or more. He loved spending time at the sand dunes, boating, and living the lake life. But most of all, he dearly loved being with his family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Destiny (Breanna Baker) Cope of Wolcottville and Brooklyn Cope of Wolcottville; his girlfriend, Devon Eminger of Shipshewana; his mother, Kelly D. (Pablo Astudillo) Little of Avilla; his father, Andrew (Joy) Cope of Quincy, Michigan; a sister, Shawnda Cope of Allen, Michigan; three brothers, Jason Cope of Kendallville, Justin (Jennifer Hudnall) Cope of Allen, Michigan; and Ben (Corinna) Cope of Quincy, Michigan; two stepbrothers, Andrew Sussex of Reading, Michigan and Theodore Sussex of Hillsdale, Michigan; maternal grandfather, Donald Little of Fremont; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Chrissy Cope of Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Little; paternal grandparents, Ronald Earl Cope and Jane Ann Cope; his ex-mother-in-law, Patricia Price; and his beloved dog, Smokey.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 31, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Visitation is Monday, July 31, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials directed for funeral expenses.
