Ruth M. Pepple, 92, of Kendallville died Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2:15 a.m. in Kendallville Manor Nursing and Rehab in Kendallville.

She was born February 25, 1925 in Kendallville to Arthur and Olivia (Todd) Wilson. They preceded her in death.

On March 25, 1945 in Kendallville she married Harold Pepple. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1974.

Ruth was a 1943 graduate of Kendallville High School, a 1944 graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne, and a 1945 graduate of Ravenscroft Beauty College also in Fort Wayne.

She owned and operated a beauty shop in her home for 18 years. She was also a secretary for the East Noble Administration office for 28 years retiring on February 25, 1990.

Ruth was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Avilla, the Susanna Circle at the church, Live and Learn Homemakers Club where she served as treasurer for two years, the Red Hat Society, the Noble County Fair Board where she served as treasurer for three years, Kendallville Kiwanis Ladies where she helped organize Meals on Wheels for the City of Kendallville.

She enjoyed playing bridge and euchre and loved to read to and rock her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Penny Countryman of Colorado and Peggy (Bob) Bohde of Kendallville; a son, Art Pepple of Minnesota; six grandchildren, Christan (Chris) Fields of Valparaiso, Sarah (Steve) Bellino of Parker, Colorado, Becky (Scott) Harvey of Traverse City, Michigan, Leslie (Mike) Brown of Starbuck, Minnesota, Luke Pepple of Minnesota, Leah (Kyle) Brustuen of Appleton, Minnesota; 14 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Hannah, and Lauren Fields, Scott and Luke Harvey, Makenna and Alyssa Bellino, Brynlee, Raeghan, and Grady Brustuen, Madison, Bailey, and Lauren Brown, and Breken Pepple.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald Wilson.

Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
